Mosquito season starts when the temperature reaches 50° F. As temperatures increase, so does the mosquito population. The use of EPA-registered repellents containing DEET are recommended by the CDC to prevent mosquito bites which can lead to illness.

In recent years, up to 46 states have reported human West Nile virus infections with 66% of the cases classified as neuroinvasive disease (meningitis or encephalitis).

Mosquitoes carry other serious diseases, but rare diseases such as Denque virus, Eastern equine encephalitis virus, La Crosse virus and St. Louis encephalitis.Ticks can be dangerous carriers of lyme disease with 47 states reporting cases between 2006-2016.

The following products should be stocked for immediate access and use by outdoor workers, painters, HVAC technicians, and other workers who could encounter mosquitoes while on the job.
