POSITION TITLE: Drum Yard Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Operations
JOB LOCATION: Brenham, TX
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday  |  1st & 2nd Shift
REPORTS TO: Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Drum Yard Coordinator is responsible for staging the overall organization of warehouse, "staging" of raw materials for aerosol production, and receiving after-hour deliveries into the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect, weigh, and verify the count of raw materials prior to putting back into storage.
  • Update partial drum tag with current weight and report any inventory variances to Supervisor.
  • Perform location transfers with handheld or on area computers for all material moved from a location.
  • Keep storage areas clean and organized. Transfer empty pallets and containers to the proper disposal area.
  • Load empty drums into the drum trailer. Ensure all containers are completely empty prior to disposal.
  • Pull required raw materials for mixing departments and place in designated staging areas.
  • Pull finished product from Receiving and move to the Shipping staging area after 5 p.m.
  • Unloads incoming materials that are delivered after 5 p.m.
  • When backing up Production Stager:
    • Review packaging tickets prior to production batch.
    • Make sure all raw materials are available for the batch.
    • Pull required raw materials and place in aerosol "staging" area of plant
    • Move finished product to designated area of warehouse
    • Upon completion of production of each run, return all raw materials to designated storage area.
  • Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment requirements are met
  • Safely operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in handling supplies and equipment.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Any other duties or projects which may be assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Must receive training and be certified before operating a forklift.

*****Re-certification is required every 3 years.*****

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.  Forklift experience desired.  Production /Warehouse experience desired.
