Monday-Friday | 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Line Technician is responsible for all production line setups, changeovers, and minor repairs needed to keep production lines operating in a safe and efficient manner to ensure maximum productivity. Report any problems immediately to the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts changeover and line setups in a timely manner for each production run on other production lines.
- Performs minor repairs and adjustments needed to production equipment throughout the production process. Production equipment includes gassing, tipping, labeling, lot coding and tape machines.
- Ensures safety and quality procedures and policies are followed according to established company procedures and policies.
- Completes production clean up from previous runs. This includes the following:
- Picking up transfer hoses, airlines, electrical cords, and pumps to return them to the appropriate storage location. Hose ends must be connected, airlines and electrical cords must be rolled up and off the floor.
- Emptying pails and drip pans into the appropriate waste streams and returning pails/drips to their appropriate storage location.
- Sweeping absorbent placed on the floor during previous production runs and discarding into spill cleanup drum.
- Cleaning up any trash and/or spilled material generated during the previous production run – used rags, cardboard, gloves, etc.
- Remove any bad cans generated during previous production run from gassing house, water bath, and filling areas.
- Return portable tanks to storage appropriate storage area. Tanks must have caps on valves.
- Return caps to stationary tanks once productions run has finished.
- Assist with testing new equipment and products as required by the Vice President or Manager of Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Control.
- Assist other areas of production line when necessary to maximize productivity.
- Review the production schedule for each assigned production line to ensure proper line setup for the next order.
- Any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during shift
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
